Emprededora, auténtica y orgullosa de sus raíces. Así es Jéssica Velasco. Busca plasmar la riqueza de la cultura latinoamericana en cada una de sus piezas a través de un estilo étnico– chic, que actualmente está cautivando el mundo de la moda y seguro, después de leer esto, te cautivará a ti también.
UNA INSPIRACIÓN
Jéssica, de nacionalidad guatemalteca, dio origen a su marca hace tres años con un objetivo claro: poder representar y compartir nuestras raíces y la cultura de los países latinos a través de diseños de prendas modernas, únicas y con gran colorido. Sus raíces han sido determinantes a la hora de diseñar, Guatemala es un país muy diverso no solo por sus paisajes, también es multi-étnico, con mucha historia y cultura; cada región indígena tiene diferentes trajes y bordados típicos hechos a mano.
UN ESTILO
Jéssica ama el color, combinar texturas, pero sobre todo sentirse cómoda con lo que lleva puesto. La mayoría de sus prendas tienen textiles y bordados muy coloridos hechos a mano por artesanos de varios países latinoamericanos, así el diseño final es único, una combinación la nuestra cultura ancestral con enfoque vanguardista.

SU TRAYECTORIA
Un dato curioso de Jéssica es que es Agrónoma en Ciencia y Producción Animal y posee dos maestrías en Ciencias Animales, Recursos Humanos y Relaciones Laborales. Mientras que su formación en diseño ha sido por medio de libros y videos. El estar fuera de su país, y poder vivir en otros países de Latinoamerica, le hizo apreciar y valorar la riqueza de nuestra cultura y darla a conocer al mundo es su mayor deseo.
“Color» fue su primera colección, la cual fue presentada en Runway 2017 en el Quorum del Paseo San Francisco, realizando así el lanzamiento de su marca con un gran recibimiento, siendo un aporte a la moda ecuatoriana al utilizar en sus piezas textiles Ecuatorianos con diseños diferentes, únicos y modernos.
UNA VISIÓN
Actualmente puedes encontrar sus diseños en Ecuador (Quito, Cumbayá y Cuenca), en Guatemala, Miami y París. Pero también espera ver su marca en otros países de Europa y en más ciudades de Estados Unidos, ya que es un público que aprecia y valora lo hecho a mano.
Actualmente está trabajando en una colección hecha con textiles ecuatorianos. La demanda en el mercado ecuatoriano ha sido muy buena, ya que las piezas son únicas y diferentes, pero así como los textiles hechos por artesanos Otavaleños con su diseño final, 100% a mano!
